This is my first dramaturgical work staged this year (8th and 9th of March 2024) in Palermo, my native city in Italy.

An actor, son of an adoptive father, is striving to solve his situations involving an inertial relationship with his parent. and an existential dilemma in which he wonders what separates human beings from animals.
"Are we human, or beasts?"
To ease the headache, the actor stages a monologue dedicated to Asterion, the mythological Minotaur of Crete, master and prisoner of Knossos, where he faces the meanders of his own physical and mental labyrinth.

"I'm the Lord of the Labyrinth, master and slave of the Thousand Crossroads, and the enigma who rules over them"

He wonders who his real father is and what it means to live as an anthropomorphic bull, harassed by his bipolarity.

"Nothing makes sense, not even my own words!
What can a horned beast know about carelessness? Why am I asking these questions? Why am I starving while my stomach turns out of anger?"
The monologue leads the actor to consider the flip side of the coin: the lack of guidance and love from an absent parent, missing that necessary figure who would accompany a child throughout their first steps into the world.

"What would become of me, had You not adopted me when I was three?
(...)
Do You see why I chose the Minotaur, Dad?
I needed to recall what is being raised by You, the sense of it."
